Providence Park [formerly Jeld-Wen Field/PGE Park/Civic Stadium/Multnomah Stadium] is a multi-purpose sports facility located on the north edge of Goose Hollow and is home to Major League Soccer's Portland Timbers, beginning its inaugural season in 2011, and the Thorns, winner of the 2013 NWSL Championships in their inaugural season.  The stadium was originally built in 1926 on the grounds of Multnomah Field and has undergone a number of transformations over the years including a current renovation for the MLS expansion.  Not only is the stadium home to the Timbers and Thorns (as well as the AAA Beavers prior to its recent renovation), but a number of other teams and events call Providence Park home.  Portland State University plays its home football games at Providence Park.  The Portland State women’s soccer program also plays a number of games at the stadium.  Goose Hollow has a Good Neighbor Agreement with the stadium that limits noise and other nuisances.  Portland has a separate 2010 Good Neighbor Agreement with the stadium that requires Park personnel to pick up event-related litter and debris within 24 hours of all Timbers games in the area bounded by Jefferson/Vista/I-405/Flanders.  Parking information for the stadium can be found here.

Lincoln High School is the first public high school in the Pacific Northwest, established in 1869 only 10 years after a Boston public high school became the first of its kind in the United States.  Lincoln includes The International Studies Center, a magnet program open to all PPS students interested in expanding their options in foreign language study and international culture and relations.

The Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC), established in 1891, is one of the largest and most diverse private health and social clubs in North America, with a membership of 21,000, and is consistently rated as one of the top five private athletic clubs in the United States.  Located next to Jeld-Wen Field (which the MAC had previously owned), its 565,000 square foot facility has multiple swimming pools, gyms, and restaurants and is home to many Olympic medalists and world-class athletes.

Washington Park is located on the west edge of Goose Hollow and you will find many Goose Hollow residents running, hiking, and enjoying all of its attractions.
