PGE Park is a multi-purpose sports facility located on the north edge of Goose Hollow.  PGE Park is home to the Triple-A Baseball Portland Beavers and professional soccer’s Portland Timbers.  The Timbers are a member of the United Soccer League and in 2011 they will join the major ranks when they play in the MLS.  The stadium was originally built in 1926 and has undergone a number of transformations over the years including one planned for the MLS expansion.  Not only is the stadium home to the Beavers and Timbers, but a number of other teams and events call PGE Park home.  Portland State University plays its home football games at PGE Park.  The Portland State women’s soccer program also plays a number of games at the stadium.  Goose Hollow has a Good Neighbor Agreement with the stadium that limits noise and other nuisances.

Lincoln High School is the first public high school in the Pacific Northwest, established in 1869 only 10 years after a Boston public high school became the first of its kind in the United States.  Lincoln includes The International Studies Center, a magnet program open to all PPS students interested in expanding their options in foreign language study and international culture and relations.

The Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC), established in 1891, is one of the largest and most diverse private health and social clubs in North America, with a membership of 21,000, and is consistently rated as one of the top five private athletic clubs in the United States.  Located next to PGE Park (which the MAC had previously owned), its 565,000 square foot facility has multiple swimming pools, gyms, and restaurants and is home to many Olympic medalists and world-class athletes.

Washington Park is located on the west edge of Goose Hollow and you will find many Goose Hollow residents running, hiking, and enjoying all of its attractions.
